BMW X5 and BMW X6
We already feel that the standard BMW X5 and BMW X6 are amazing vehicles. We love the room, the seating position and the way such a large car handles.
But… we are extremely lucky to get our hands on some of the latest performance models…
The M50i
Thats right… We’ve got access to the BMW X5 M50i and the BMW X6 M50i, all available on our flexible car subscriptions and long-term car rental options.
So let’s take a look at them in a little more detail.
With a 4.4 turbo charged petrol engine delivering 530hp, will get you from 0-62mph in 4.3 seconds up to a (subject to road laws) limited top speed of 155mph.
The trim is based on the M Sport models swapping the steel springs for the adaptive dampers and air suspension.
There is also a limited-slip diff to help with the traction of this 2.2 tonne car.
If you want to swap the looks of a tradtional SUV to a Coupe SUV, then opt for the BMW X6. Performance of 5.3 seconds from 0-62mph matches the X5, making it one of the most entertaining drives in this sector.
Again, expect M Sport trim with those adaptive dampers and air suspension upgrades, as well as sports exhaust systems.
Whilst not as roomy as the BMW X5, the BMW X5 Coupe SUV sure does look the best out of the two.
