2020 was a very crazy year for our short-term car lease fleet due to Covid-19, but we’ve delivered a great number of cars up and down the UK whilst following the guidelines as set out by the Government.
We thought we’d share with our readers the most popular short-term cars for 2020, we’ll try and do a few of these blog pieces over the next few weeks as we’ve got some really interesting stats that we’re keen to share.

Here are the 9 most popular short-term cars for 2020, this is based on all of our short-term products including Car Subscription, Flexi-rental and Fixed Short-Term Car Leases.
9. Kia Niro Estate
The Kia Niro has been popular and we’ve put this down the available engine options such as Hybrid, Plugin-Hybrid and Fully Electric. The Standard Hybrid has been our most popular options, followed by the fully electric.

8. Volvo XC40
This won’t be the first time you’ll see a Volvo mentioned in this list, the XC40 is a great SUV and we’ve had these in Petrol, Diesel and the Recharge Plugin-Hybrid model. They have great on-board kit and at a great price.

7. Tesla Model 3
We’ve been extremely lucky to have had the Tesla Model 3 on a short-term contract, they have been one of our most requested models and as they have become available they have gone straight out on subscription.

6. BMW 3 Series Tourer
These have been on special offer this year and we’ve been lucky to bag these on flexible and fixed short-term contracts and subscriptions. We’ve had the 320i and 318i and the M-Sport and Sport models available.

5. Audi Q7 SUV
The Audi has been a popular choice for many of our customers who want a large vehicle, but wanted to test drive a plugin-hybrid within their day-to-day routine or business.

4. Volvo XC60
For the last few years, the Volvo XC60 has been one of the most popular choices of short-term vehicles on our fleet. Larger than the XC40 but smaller than the XC90, this car sits comfortably in the middle and competes against the Audi Q5, BMW X3 and the VW Tiguan. A great car.

3. BMW X3 Estate
We ran an article recently on the BMW X3 Petrol vs. Diesel, it raisied a lot of interest from many of our customers who were weighing up the X3 options, interestingly 60% of out customers opted for petrol after this article.

2. Peugeot 3008
We’ve been really suprised by the high number of Peugeot’s we’ve had go out in 2020, in one day alone we had 5 cars, with 4 different models heading to new homes for a short-term period. Our most popular short-term Peugeot, is without a doubt the Peugeot 3008.

1. BMW 1 Series
There are loads of reasons why the BMW 1 series is our most popular short term car, but its mainly due to the price point. Its the cheapest BMW Car Subscription on our website and for the money the on-board specification is really impressive. On top of this, the new model is a real head turner.
