Useful Websites for Motorists
We thought we’d share with you the top 3 websites which we find handy as a company and would be a benefit to motorists. These are all external websites and we are not responsible for the content.
AskMid
It is FREE and easy to use askMID to check your vehicle to make sure that it is showing in the Motor Insurance Database (MID).
If your vehicle does not show on the database, you may receive a warning or even a fixed penalty fine through the post. If you believe you have valid insurance and your vehicle is showing as being UNINSURED, then get in touch with them straightaway.
Driving Licence Check
With temporary changes to driving licence expiry dates during COVID, it is really important to make sure that your driving licence is still in-date and valid.
Use the DVLA database to find out information such as expiry dates, number of penalty points, your current address and to share a Driving Licence Authorisation Code.
Vehicle Details Check
Don’t pay for basic information for a vehicle. The DVLA allows you to check online to see what the Driver and Vehicle Licencing Agency (DVLA) holds about a vehicle.
These details include the current vehicle tax, when the MOT expires, date of 1st registration, year of manufacture and CO2 emissions.
