Family Cars

We’ve seen an influx of enquiries recently where customers are looking for cars suitable for families. We’re not talking about those who need 7 seats, just those with enough space for a couple of kids and some luggage space.

So here are our Top 7 with Pro’s and Con’s:

MOST POPULAR

Mercedes GLB SUV in Blue

What We Love: The fact that Mercedes have squeezed 7 seats into this tiny footprint car, yet retained so much interior space.

What We Don’t: The basic AMG Line with it’s tiny screen, opt for the Premium upwards to add some proper kit.

Overall: Love the 1.3 Petrol engine, it produces 167hp

THE SENSIBLE OPTION

MG MG5 Estate

What We Love: For what you get for your money, the MG5 is excellent with plenty of space.

What We Don’t: The MG badge can be off putting, but customers are raving about them.

Overall: Great range for an EV, plenty of onboard kit, cheap to run.

THE COOL ESTATE CAR

Mercedes C Class Estate

What We Love: We love the looks of the Mercedes C Class, especially as an AMG Line. There aren’t many other estates in the market that can match that image.

What We Don’t: You need to opt for a higher spec to get the better onboard features.

Overall: Love love love love and love. Especially the PHEV version

THE ONE WITH 6 ISOFIX POINTS

Audi Q7

What We Love: It has 6 ISOFIX points, ideal for those who have a large family.

What We Don’t: It looks a bit old fashioned now, needs a refresh

Overall: The engine choice is excellent, we love the Petrols.

THE BEST EV OPTION

Top 7 Family Cars on Subscriptions

What We Love: The technology and that with each over the air upgrade comes more new features.

What We Don’t: We don’t love the looks of it, but we will put up with it.

Overall: Excellent range, cheap to run and the kids will love it.

THE DEPENDABLE CAR

Skoda Kodiaq

What We Love: The build quality of the Skoda’s is excellent, we love the solid drive and that you can burn the miles without getting any aches.

What We Don’t: Do we really need a free umbrella with the car

Overall: Excellent option for those on a budget, I think we prefer this to the Tiguan.

CRAZY CHOICE

Audi RS6 Avant

What We Love: How quickly you can do the school run in the morning (within national speed limits of course!)

What We Don’t: The crazy price tag, even on car subscription!

Overall: Great choice for the petrol heads, but you need the space for the kids.
