We’ve already had a lot of enquiries on the 2023 BMW X5 on our flexible subscription service, but we understand that the derivatives can be difficult to understand and although we display the specification of a vehicle, we don’t always cover everything that is included.
This article takes a look at the Technology Pack and the Technology Plus pack and what is included if you choose the X5 with these packs.
Technology Pack
As part of the Technology Pack on the BMW X5, you will get:
Gesture Control
Gesture control allows you to control certain functions of the infotainment using hand gestures. It allows simple swiping, pointing or pushing to change things like radio stations, increasing or decreasing volume or confirming notifications on the main screen.
Live Cockpit with Head up Display
The Digital Live Cockpit (aka. Virtual Cockpit) is the screen that sits behind the steering wheel and the main touchscreen that is placed in the centre of the dashboard. Its uses screens to display relevant information about the car, speed, road signs, navigation and other information that may prove useful for your trip.
The head-up display is excellent and projects information onto the windscreen in your line of sight. You can see things like speed and navigational directions without taking you eyes off the road.
Harmon/Kardon Surround Sound Audio System
The Harmon Kardon Surround Sound Audio System contains 16 speaks which cover a huge spectrum of sound to provide you the very best audio experience in your car. The system has a 464 W amplifier via nine channels to pump the sound out.
Technology Plus Pack
The Technology Plus pack contains everything that is in the standard Technology Pack plus:
Driving Assistance Professional
The Driver Assistant Professioanl feature contains an array of driving assistance that can help with driving pleasure and safety, these include Steering and Lane Control Assistant, Emergency Stop Assistant, Automatic Speed Limit Assist, Lane Change Assistant, Lane Chaning Assistant with active side collision protection, Front crossing traffic warning, Evasion Assistant, Crossroads Warning with City Braking Function, Wrong-way Warning, Traffic Light Detection and Steering and Lane Contract Assistant with active navigation guidance.
Parking Assistant Pro
Containing both a camera and an ultrasound-based assistance system to help with many parking functions. This includes automated parking into parking spaces or a parallel park. Manoeuvering Assistance which can save routes saved into the system that the system can drive time-after-time. Reversing Assistant Professional for times when you need to reverse in the same direction but need some help. BMW Drive Recorder for recording the vehicle’s surroundings.
