1. Mini Steering Wheel
Some customers love it, some hate it, some love to hate it, some hate to love it. Either way the steering wheel of the Peugeot 3008 looks way to small. But pair it with it’s Ferrari style “fixed” paddles for changing gear (auto’s only) and you’ll never want a big steering wheel again.
2. Lots of space
The space in the car is brilliant and the boot gives you 520 litres with no silly shapes, its just a box. Leg room is very good for all passengers, with 3 adults on the back row, it will be quite cosy.
3. Apple CarPlay
Apple CarPlay comes as standard on most models and is initiated by using a Lighting Cable into one of the USB ports. With the touchscreen navigating the familiar interface is an absolute breeze.
4. Reliability
With thousands of vehicles on our own fleet database, not one issue has been recorded for a Peugeot 3008 by one of our customers. We can’t say that you will have any issues at all, but if you want a car that doesn’t let you down, this should be top of your list.
5. Auto Box
Whilst there are still 2 out of 3 manual cars on the road (according to SMMT data), the auto box on the Peugeot 3008 is incredibly smooth and is great for around town or motorway driving.
6. Petrol or Diesel
The Hybrid version of the 3008 hasn’t been seen in a while on a short-term car lease, when it was available it was expensive. Peugeot have stuck with a 1.2 petrol or a 1.5 Diesel. We have driven both and have no firm favorite.
7. Parking Assistance
The Peugeot 3008 comes with both parking sensors and a reversing camera, visibility can prove quite difficult for those less confident drivers but the extra gadgets can help. Front parking sensors aren’t available on all trim levels.
8. Infotainment
We’ve already touched on Apple CarPlay, but the onboard infotainment with touchscreen is the main control centre for many of the vehicle features including climate control, sat nav and radio. Android Auto is also included on this vehicle.
9. Build Quality
Many of the French car maufacturers have risen against the German Brands over the last 10-15 years, the Peugeot 3008 is no stranger to that. With an upmarket interior, ambient lighting and very comfortable seats. You won’t be disappointed.
