Moving back to the UK, or arriving from overseas to work here? Our expat car leasing and subscription products are designed around your situation, without the need for a lengthy UK credit history.
Whether you're an expat coming back to the UK, arriving to work here for the first time, or a business relocating overseas staff, we understand you may not yet have a long UK credit history — and we've built our expat car subscription and leasing products around that. Rather than relying solely on a UK credit score, our underwriters assess your income, employment and — where available — your credit history in your home country.
Both our car subscriptions (rolling, from just 28 days) and our flexible and short-term leases (from 90 days, up to around 18 months) are available to eligible expat customers, all with maintenance, road tax, manufacturer's warranty and breakdown cover included — you just add insurance and fuel or electricity.
What you'll need
A permanent UK address
A confirmed, permanent UK residential address is required to take out an agreement — this needs to be somewhere you can be contacted and where the vehicle can be based.
Proof of income and a UK bank account
Evidence of income (UK-based or otherwise) is required, along with a UK bank account for payments — we can accept accounts such as Wise where a traditional UK bank account isn't yet in place.
Valid passport and driving licence
A valid passport and driving licence are required — non-UK driving licences are accepted alongside an International Driving Permit where applicable.
Not suitable for short visits
Our expat products are built for people settling in the UK — not short trips.

Can I lease a car before I arrive in the UK?
You'll need a confirmed, permanent UK residential address and proof of income before an agreement can be arranged — get in touch ahead of your move and we'll advise on timing, so a vehicle is ready when you land.
Is this suitable for a short UK holiday?
No — our expat car leasing and subscription products are designed for UK residents settling here, and are not suitable for UK travel, tourism or leisure hire.
Do I need a UK driving licence?
No — non-UK driving licences are accepted, alongside an International Driving Permit where applicable. You'll still need to meet our usual age and driving history requirements.
Do I need a UK bank account?
Yes, for ongoing payments — a standard UK bank account is preferred, though accounts such as Wise can be accepted where you don't yet have one set up.

Where do I collect my first vehicle?
Your first vehicle needs to be collected in person in England, Wales or Scotland, with photo ID verified at the point of collection or delivery.
