Background on Maserati
Maserati is a luxury car brand that was founded in 1914 by Alfieri Maserati and his brothers. Maserati initially focused on producing racing cars and they had some fantastic results on the track, which resulted in the brand being recognised as a symbol of Italian engineering and design.
Maserati’s signature trident logo, represents the company’s roots in the city of Bologna, Italy. It has become an icon of automotive excellents and today Maserati is known for producing high-performance sports cars and luxury saloons, including the Ghibli and the Quattroporte.
In recent years, the Italian car brand has turned towards Sports Utility Vehicles (SUV‘s) starting with the Levante and recently the Grecale. As well as these models, they are also looking at expanding it’s lineup with further hybrid models and electric vehicles.
Whilst Maserati remains a small player in the luxury car market when compared with BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Porsche. it has a devoted following of car enthusiasts who appriciate the brand’s history, craftsmanship and performance.
