We only released our latest Subscription Cars Arriving in Quarter 4 yesterday, but the vehicle that has generated the most interest is the BMW XM SUV and whilst we are yet to release prices, we’ve already had customers message us saying put their name against them.
We thought we’d write this article to fill you in one one of BMW’s most exciting additions and why we love it in the office!
What is the BMW XM?
The BMW XM is the German’s take on a super luxury SUV, developed by the M performance division, this Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) is huge! Not only is it very large but it is also very powerful and very very expensive!
The car’s designed looks like it’s looks have been chiseled into the bodywork, with sharp, ultra-sleek angular lines. Taking a look at the front end you are met with those huge squared off kidney grills seen on the majority of BMW’s latest vehicles. Those super-slim LED headlights almost look like a larger panel gap until the ignition is activated lighting and glowing with style.
The backend is all squashed up, with almost a smattering of looks of the latest Range Rover Sport but with sharper, finger cutting edges. The lower bumper has stacked exhausts pipes either side making the car look futuristic but not stupid.
Under the bonnet is BMW’s 4.4-litre V8 engine mated with an electric motor. In combination the car has 644bhp with a 0-62bhp in 4.3 seconds. Yet the car can manage pure electric power for up to 55 miles with speeds up to 87mph.
Internally the car provides amplespace, although not available as a 7-seater, the seats are ultra comfortable upholstered in BMW’s leather. The latest BMW operating system is on-board which we’ve already had a pleasur eof using in the latest 2023 BMW X5 and the BMW X7.
Boot space allows 527-litres of capacity, so plenty of space for suitcases or even a set of golf clubs.
When is the BMW X7 Available on Subscription?
We’ve got a couple of suppliers offering the BMW XM to ourselves so that we can offer these out on one of our flexible car subscriptions, the first batch is due September 2023, although supplies are restricted.

How long does it take to charge?
The BMW XM takes approx 4.25 hours to charge on a 7.4kW charger, the maximum the vehicle can charge at is 7.4kW so this isn’t a vehicle to use on high speed chargers.
What is the electric range of the BMW XM?
BMW states that the WLTP range of the XM is up to 55 miles. At the time of writing EV Database has not published any official figures for this vehicle.
Is the BMW XM available as a 7-seater?
At this moment in time, the BMW XM is not available as a 7-seater. The car has 5-seats.
