More customers turn to flexible car subscription solutions due to the cost of living crisis

April 26, 2023

As for many of us, the cost of living crisis in the UK has been a major worry and it is having a massive impact on there finances, in particular cars and mobility.

A recent survey of 2,000 British drivers has revealed that over 50% of motorists are worried about how the cost of living crisis will impact their driving habits (source. Bobatoo)

Over the last 6-months we have found many of our new customers are opting to take out a flexible car subscription over a fixed short-term car lease.

Where we have asked the questions, answers have included:

  • Worried about job security
  • Not sure if the interest rates will go up again so don’t want to commit
  • Traded my car in to release the equity to help pay the bills, opted for subscription
  • Not sure what the future holds
  • Prefer a flexible solution to having to fix in

Benefits of a Car Subscription

We have already covered the huge benefits that car subscriptions offer, but the main appeal to many is the fact that you only have to commit to a minimum of 90 days to get the best price and that the car can be off-hired with 5-working days notice (subject to availability).

On top of that with one monthly payment you get servicing, maintenance, tyre provision, 24hr breakdown assistance, warranty and road tax. All you need to provide is fully comprehensive insurance cover plus the fuel or charge to run the vehicle.

We cover this and more in our Car Subscriptions Explained section of the website, from here you can find out about our latest offers, expat car subscriptions and even business car subscriptions.
