Podcasts have been extremely popular over the last few years, with the Covid-19 Pandemic giving us a bunch more. It is possible to find a podcast on just about any subject and theme imaginable, they are ideal for a long road trip (not always suitable for kids), so we thought we’d give our Top 5 favourites for this year.
Top Podcasts for 2023
Here are our Top 5 favourites:
The Diary of a CEO
Steve Bartlett from Dragons Den has created a brilliant, though provoking and motivational podcast, interviewing not only stars but those who have been successful in business and even therapists.
Each episode listed is clickbait in itself, but you’ll be listening intensely to the content and even relistening if you find something intriguing. Well worth a listen.

Desert Island Discs
The concept is old and brilliant. Guests choose eight tracks, a book and a luxury. Each track has a relevance in the guests life, truly compelling listening.
There is also an archive available of that goes back years. Some of our favourite guests include Louis Theroux, Ricky Gervais, Sir David Attenborough and Miriam Margolyes.

Martin Lewis Podcast
Times are hard for many people nowadays with the cost of living crisis, but Martin Lewis covers a number of subjects each week to help you make the right financial decisions.
Whether it be sorting your energy supplier, re-mortgaging to beat rising interest rates or clever hacks to save you money on your weekly shopping bill.

Off Menu Podcast
Comedians Ed Gamble and James Acaster have a fictional restaurante where guests can choose their favourite starter, main course, side dish, dessert and drink. Guests usually have fascinating stories associated with each course with the hosts cracking jokes around every corner.
Our favourite recent episode is number 200, a special one-off hosted by Rylan where the boys themselves share their favourite menu with some extra twists and loop holes.

Parenting Hell
Not a podcast to listen to with the kids in the car, but parents alike will sympathise with the day-to-day gruels that is parenting, all put together in a well thought out podcast.
Whilst we’ve saved the best to last, this can only be listened to via Spotify, which is annoying but it is totally free.
