This year Cocoon Vehicles is proud to announce that they have chosen RSPCA Derby as their charity for 2024 and what better way to start then by supporting their latest crowdfunding attempt: Save Our Smalls.
Before we dealve into what Save Our Smalls is, we will go into why we are supporting this charity.
Why we support the RSPCA Derby
The RSPCA Derby is an independent, self-fund charity that doesn’t receive any external funding from the RSPCA. Therefore, they need to raise over £12,000 per week to cover the costs of running their centre. They rely on donations that are sent direct or via fundraising.
We’ve previously supported the RSPCA Derby branch personally through time given for volunteering, sponsoring events or by providing donations for their shops. The Directors have also had animals from the centres including Cats and more importantly hamsters.

Save Our Smalls
The RSPCA Derby are aiming to raise £10,000 to build a dedicated unit for Small Animals to help them fulfil their licencing conditions.
For over 150 years, the RSPCA in Derby has been the sactuary for abandoned and abused small animals. Did you know that they are one of the most neglected pets in the UK?

All of the animals listed are intelligent and can suffer the same pain, fear and stress as other animals such as cats and dogs. The RSPCA Derby is the only licenced animal centre within 45 miles of the city centre that can take in small furries.

As well as sending the RSPCA Derby funds ourselves, we also hope that our customers, suppliers and local people of Derby can also join in by providing a donation to their crowdfunding, even just £1 would help.
