What is the Explorer Pack on the Land Rover Defender?

The Land Rover Defender is a very popular vehicle and was one of the most requested vehicles in 2023 on our car subscription service. We also received numerous requests for car lease quotes on our find a car lease service.

Whilst there are a number of accessory packs you can add to the Defender, the most popular addition was the Explorer Pack, but what does it include?

What is in the Explorer Pack?

The following accessories are in the explorer pack on the Defender:

Front & Rear Classic Mudflaps

Mudflaps are a great upgrade to those who do like to reduce the spray of muck on the bodywork on the Land Rover, of course we do know that it is fashionable to drive a dirty Defender, but some of us want to offer a level of protection to the paint and bodywork.

Matt Black Bonnet Decal

The Matte Black Bonnet Decal enhances the look of the Defender. It is a vinyl decal that is applied to the bonnet, it also has a cut out detail with either 90, 110 or 130 depending on the bodystyle chosen.

Raised Air Intake

Most people choose this option to increase the wading depth of the Land Rover Defender, however, based on their website this does not alter the 900mm wading depth. Instead it is suggested that the air intake is ideal for dusty or sandy conditions, raising the air intake and hopefully reducing the dust particles being taken in. Most customers love this accessory for the look.

Expedition Roof Rack

The expedition roof rack has a capacity of 132kg depending on the overall specification of the vehicle. It enhances the look of the Land Rover Defender but still provides room for the panoramic sunroof and aerial.

Black Exterior Side-Mounted Gear Carrier

This adds a carrier box to the side of the vehicle with a lock. It is an ideal external storage unit.
